SR 177 Enrolled 2015 Regular Session Mills
Creates and provides for a Task Force on Medical Device Distribution in Louisiana which
shall review existing regulations and propose revisions of regulations and the elimination of
duplicate regulations while remaining focused on the protection of the health and safety of
Louisiana citizens.
Provides that the task force shall consist of:
(1)The DHH secretary, or her designee.
(2) The Senate president, or his designee.
(3) The House speaker, or his designee.
(4) The executive director of La. Board of Drug and Device Distributors, or his designee,
who shall serve as chairperson.
(5) A representative of Advanced Medical Technological Association.
Requires written report to the Senate and the House of Representatives no later than
12/15/15, at which time the task force shall terminate.
