SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 194

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the Eight-Year-Old Division AAA Coach Pitch Travel
Team, the Northshore Prospects, for going undefeated and winning the Super NIT
Governor's Games XVII held on May 30th and 31st, 2015.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend and congratulate the Eight-Year-Old Division AAA Coach Pitch Travel Team,
3 the Northshore Prospects, for going undefeated and winning the Super NIT
4 Governor's Games XVII.
5 WHEREAS, it is appropriate and warranted to commend the Northshore Prospects
6 baseball team's players, coaches, and families upon going undefeated and winning the United
7 States Specialty Sports Association's Governor's Games held on May 30th and 31st of 2015;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, twenty-one teams, including teams from Texas and Mississippi,
10 participated in the Governor's Games; and
11 WHEREAS, the players of this winning team are Austin "AJ" Buell, Andrew "Drew-
12 P" Hoff, Caleb "Peanut" Levy, Jacob "J-Lo" Lott, Brody "Brodster" Lupo, Jared "J-Swag"
13 Roberson, Blaze "B-Rod" Rodriguez, Dalton "Diesel" Sabathe, Joseph "Jo-Jo" Shea, Luke
14 "Smitty" Smith, Eli "E" Strahan, and Juan "Julio" Washington; and
15 WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence
16 and each Northshore Prospects player deserves recognition for his vital contribution to the
17 winning effort; and
18 WHEREAS, head coach Brady Rodriguez and the members of his coaching staff,

1 David Levy, Joseph Shea, and Travis Hoff, have demonstrated the kind of leadership and
2 motivational skills needed to produce winners both on and off the baseball field; and
3 WHEREAS, the Northshore Prospects and the Northshore Baseball and Softball
4 Academy merit a special measure of commendation for the honor and pride that they bring
5 to the community of Slidell and to the state of Louisiana.
6 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
7 does hereby commend the players, coaches, and families of the Eight-Year-Old Division
8 AAA Coach Pitch Travel Team, the Northshore Prospects, for their many championships,
9 and expresses sincere and heartfelt congratulations to the Northshore Prospects team,
10 recognizing their big hearts and outstanding athletic abilities.
11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
12 coaches, players, and Jacques Jobert, owner of the Northshore Baseball and Softball
13 Academy.
