SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 195
BY SENATOR GUILLORY 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends the Capital City Republican Women on its 5th
anniversary.
1	A RESOLUTION
2 To commend the Capital City Republican Women on its fifth anniversary.
3 WHEREAS, the first organizational meeting of the Capital City Republican Women
4 was held on February 27, 2010, and was formed to instill Republican values in young
5 women in the business world and to participate in political campaigns of Republican
6 candidates; and
7 WHEREAS, the club is a local organization in Baton Rouge whose charter was
8 granted by the National Federation of Republican Women and approved by the Louisiana
9 Federation of Republic Women; and
10 WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women is the fortieth club to join the
11 Louisiana Federation of Republican Women; and
12 WHEREAS, the installation of officers and the charter ceremony were held on June
13 17, 2010, at the Governor's Mansion; and
14 WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women has eleven charter members,
15 eleven additional active members, twelve associate members, and membership in the club
16 continues to grow; and
17 WHEREAS, it is an energetic, dynamic, and compassionate club committed to
18 making a difference in the Baton Rouge community; and

1 WHEREAS, members are focused on the effectiveness of women in the cause of
2 good government, political education, and principles of the Republican Party; and
3 WHEREAS, the club's motto is "A Softer Side of a Stronger Nation" which embodies
4 the principles and beliefs of the organization; and
5 WHEREAS, the Capital City Republican Women work cohesively with the national
6 and state federations to develop and organize initiatives that promote, support, and preserve
7 the conservative ideals and principles of the Republican Party at all levels of government.
8 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
9 does hereby commend the Capital City Republican Women on the occasion of its fifth
10 anniversary and does hereby commend its members for their efforts and dedication to
11 community service and for fostering awareness of the American political system for future
12 generations.
13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
14 president of the Capital City Republican Women, Wanza H. Bell.
