Expresses condolences upon the death of Gavin Bryce Chelette. 1 A RESOLUTION 2 To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the 3 death of Gavin Bryce Chelette. 4 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow and deep regret that the members of the 5 Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana have learned of the untimely passing of Gavin Bryce 6 Chelette, at age thirteen, on April 25, 2015; and 7 WHEREAS, he was born on March 13, 2002, and was a student at Grace Christian 8 School where he excelled in soccer, track and cross country, with he and his twin brother 9 being the first sixth graders to letter in soccer; and 10 WHEREAS, Gavin was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved competing with his 11 brother Ethan; loved Nascar races, especially, Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88, and delighted and 12 entertained all with his outgoing and loving personality, singing, dancing and generally 13 being the life of any party he attended; and 14 WHEREAS, Gavin was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, T.L. 15 and Elaine Futrell and Helen Perkins and Merritte Chelette; maternal great-grandfather L.G. 16 Futrell; maternal great-grandparents, John and Jessie Benjamin; and cousin Sara Sanson; and 17 WHEREAS, those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Megan Desselle 18 and her husband Jason Desselle; twin brother, William Ethan Chelette; sister, Kori Lynn Page 1 of 2 SR NO. 206 SLS 15RS-3798 ORIGINAL 1 Chelette; "Bubby", Tate Glenn Desselle; father, Chad Chelette and companion Wendy 2 Brown; step-sister Taylor Alexis Outlaw; maternal grandparents, Larry and Jessie Futrell; 3 paternal grandparents Edward and Anita Chelette; maternal great-grandmother, Pauline 4 Futrell; step paternal grandparents, Trenda and Wayne Desselle; cousins, Austin D., Ashton, 5 Emalea, Kaylee, Austin F., Caden, Lainey, Myles, Devon, Tucker, Emma and Mia; uncles 6 and aunts Jeremy and Jennifer, Dustin and Kim, Darren and Angela, Jess and Nikki, Ben and 7 Alyssa, Jeff and children, Rylee and Adlee Chelette and Justin Desselle; and great-aunts, 8 great-uncles, and their families. 9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana 10 hereby extends sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Gavin Bryce Chelette. 11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to 12 Megan Desselle.
