SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 216
BY SENATORS JOHNS, MORRISH AND JOHN SMITH
COMMENDATIONS. Commends Meyer & Associates, Inc. upon the celebration of its 50th
Anniversary.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend and congratulate Meyer & Associates, Inc. for fifty years of business
3 excellence.
4 WHEREAS, it is with great pride that the citizens of Southwest Louisiana and the
5 state of Louisiana acknowledge the golden anniversary of Meyer & Associates, Inc; and
6 WHEREAS, Meyer & Associates, Inc. has provided a full range of professional
7 consulting engineering services throughout Southwest Louisiana over the last fifty years
8 working for both the public sector at all levels of government and the private sector; and
9 WHEREAS, the company's active public client list includes the cities of Lake
10 Charles, Sulphur, and Westlake; the towns of Anacoco, DeQuincy, DeRidder, Hornbeck,
11 Lake Arthur, Leesville, Merryville, Simpson, Vinton, and Welsh; the Calcasieu Parish Police
12 Jury, Beauregard Parish Police Jury, Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury, Sabine Parish Police
13 Jury, Vernon Parish Police Jury, the Port of Lake Charles, West Calcasieu Port, Chennault
14 International Airport Authority, the West Calcasieu Airport, the Sabine River Authority, the
15 Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and dozens of water, sewer,
16 drainage, airport, and special purpose districts and boards; and
17 WHEREAS, on Friday, June 12, 2015, a Fiftieth Anniversary Party will be held in
18 honor of Meyer & Associates, Inc. at the West Calcasieu Event Center; and

1 WHEREAS, the success of the state of Louisiana, the strength of our communities,
2 and the overall vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon businesses such
3 as Meyer & Associates, Inc. who provide jobs and products and services that improve that
4 quality of life of Louisiana citizens.
5 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
6 does hereby commend Meyer & Associates, Inc. on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary
7 of doing business, does hereby recognize the actions and contributions of the company and
8 its employees, and does hereby extend best wishes for continued success.
9 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
10 Meyer & Associates, Inc.
