COMMENDATIONS:  Commends and expresses appreciation to the Honorable Joseph P.
"Joe" Lopinto, III, for his outstanding legislative service and recognizes his
contributions to his district and the state
1	A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Joseph P. "Joe" Lopinto, III, and to express enduring gratitude
3 for his outstanding contributions to Jefferson Parish and the state of Louisiana,
4 particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Joseph P. "Joe" Lopinto, III, is a notable public servant who has served
7with excellence as a state representative since taking office in 2008, during which time he
8has fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of his district and the state in an
9honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Lopinto received a Juris Doctor from Loyola University
11New Orleans College of Law; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Lopinto has been a proud member of the Jefferson
2Parish Legislative Delegation and the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation; and
3 WHEREAS, Representative Lopinto's diligent committee service has included
4serving as chairman of the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice and vice
5chairman of the House Committee on Commerce, and he has served as a member of the
6House Committee on Judiciary and the House Select Committee on Homeland Security; and
7 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Lopinto
8has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
9 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
10of his life, Representative Lopinto merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
11singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
12the Louisiana House of Representatives.
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
14Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Joseph P. "Joe" Lopinto, III;
15does hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding accomplishments,
16particularly during his tenure as a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which
17has been marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents
18in Jefferson Parish and the citizens of the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to
19him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his
20energy to the service of his family and friends, his community, and the state.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
22to the Honorable Joseph P. "Joe" Lopinto, III.
