HB 1014 Engrossed 2016 Regular Session	Berthelot
Abstract: Deletes the reference to a repealed statutory provision of the "sex offense"
definition within the Life Safety and Property Protection Licensing Act.
Present law provides licensing law applicable to persons seeking a license to engage in life
safety and property protection services.
Present law provides for the statutory reference (R.S. 15:541(14.1)) to the definition of "sex
offense" within such licensing law. The statutory reference (R.S. 15:541(14.1)) in present
law has been repealed and no longer contains the referenced definition.
Proposed law deletes the repealed statutory reference (R.S. 15:541(14.1)) to reflect the
correct statutory reference (R.S. 15:541(24(a)) for the definition of "sex offense".
Proposed law otherwise retains present law.
(Amends R.S. 40:1664.8(E))
