APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Adam Moore v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Company, et al." c/w
"State Farm Mutual Automotive Insurance Company v. James Herrington, et al." c/w
"James Herrington v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of Transportation
and Development"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Adam Moore v.
4 State Farm Mutual Automobile Company, et al." consolidated with "State Farm
5 Mutual Automotive Insurance Company v. James Herrington, et al." consolidated
6 with "James Herrington v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of
7 Transportation and Development"; and to provide for related matters.
8Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1.  The sum of One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100
10($175,000.00) Dollars in favor of Adam Moore is hereby appropriated out of the General
11Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the consent
12judgment in the suit entitled "Adam Moore v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Company, et
13al." consolidated with "State Farm Mutual Automotive Insurance Company v. James
14Herrington, et al." consolidated with "James Herrington v. State of Louisiana, through the
15Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Numbers 21,924, 21,987, and
1621,199, respectively, on the docket of the 6th Judicial District Court, parish of East Carroll,
17state of Louisiana.
18 Section 2.  The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 ($75,000.00) Dollars in
19favor of James L. Herrington is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of

1Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit
2entitled "Adam Moore v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Company, et al." consolidated with
3"State Farm Mutual Automotive Insurance Company v. James Herrington, et al."
4consolidated with "James Herrington v. State of Louisiana, through the Department of
5Transportation and Development", bearing Numbers 21,924, 21,987, and 21,199,
6respectively, on the docket of the 6th Judicial District Court, parish of East Carroll, state of
7Louisiana.
8 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
9and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
102016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
