1 AN ACT
2 To designate a portion of United States Highway 171 in Vernon Parish as the "Paul R.
3 Nicholas Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of United States Highway 171, commonly referred to as
6 Shreveport Highway, in Vernon Parish between its intersection of Louisiana Highway 28,
7 commonly referred to as Alexandria Highway, and Louisiana Highway 8 just north of the
8 town of Leesville, and its intersection with Louisiana Highway 8 in Leesville, commonly
9 referred to as Nolan Trace Parkway, shall be hereinafter known and designated as the "Paul
10 R. Nicholas Memorial Highway".
11 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development and its contractors
12 are hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage of this designation.
