1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 40:539(C)(8)(e), relative to employees of the Housing Authority of the Town
3 of Oil City; to provide that employees of the authority shall not be in the state civil
4 service; and to provide for related matters.
5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
6 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
7 Louisiana.
8 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1. R.S. 40:539(C)(8)(e) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
10 ยง539. Selection of chairman and vice chairman; executive director; hiring of
11 employees

1 (e) Notwithstanding any provision of Subparagraph (a) of this Paragraph or
2 of any other law to the contrary, the Housing Authority of the Town of Oil City shall
3 not be considered to be an instrumentality of the state for purposes of Article X,
4 Section 1(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana, and employees of the authority shall
5 not be included in the state civil service.
