Keyword and oneliner of the instrument as it left the House
WEAPONS/FIREARMS:  Adds current and retired attorney generals and designated assistant
attorneys general to list of officials who can carry concealed weapons
Report rejects Senate amendments which would have:
1. Changed the name of the testing organization from Council on Peace Officer Standards and
Training to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
Report amends the bill to:
1. Change "Peace Officer Standards and Training Council" to "Council on Peace Officer
Standards and Training" in present law.
Digest of the bill as proposed by the Conference Committee
Present law provides for the crime of illegal carrying of weapons and identifies certain active and
retired public officials who can lawfully carry concealed weapons. 
Proposed law retains present law but adds the current attorney general and retired attorney generals
and certain assistant attorneys general to the list of those who can lawfully carry concealed weapons.
