HB 18 Original 2016 Regular Session Armes
Abstract: Exempts veterans of the armed forces from concealed handgun permit fees.
Present law provides for the issuance of concealed handgun permits and provides fees for those
permits.
Present law provides that U.S. armed forces veterans pay one-half of the fees associated with
obtaining a concealed handgun permit.
Proposed law changes present law to exempt veterans of the U.S. armed forces from all fees
associated with concealed handgun permits.
