COMMERCIAL REGULATIONS: Repeals the sunset provision applicable to the
Louisiana Scrap Metal Recyclers Law

2To repeal R.S. 37:1977, relative to scrap metal recyclers; to remove the applicable sunset
3 provision.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 37:1977 is hereby repealed in its entirety.

Abstract: Removes the termination date of the Louisiana Scrap Metal Recyclers Law.
Present law (sunset law) provides that the provisions of present law (R.S. 37:1961-1977)
shall expire on July 31, 2016. Proposed law repeals present law for the purpose of sustaining
the provisions of present law.
