HOUSE BILL NO. 252

LICENSING:  Provides relative to the Provisional Licenses for Ex-Offenders Act
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 37:36(E)(1)(aa), relative to provisional licenses for ex-offenders; to exempt 
3 the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners from certain
4 provisions relative to the issuance of provisional licenses to ex-offenders; and to
5 provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 37:36(E)(1)(aa) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 
8 ยง36.  Exemptions; prohibitions

10	E.(1)  This Chapter shall not apply to the following licensing entities:

12	(aa)  The Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners.

Abstract:  Exempts the La. Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners from
certain provisions relative to the issuance of provisional licenses to ex-offenders.
Present law authorizes entities issuing licenses for certain fields of work to issue provisional
licenses to ex-offenders.  Provides certain requirements of entities choosing to issue
provisional licenses to ex-offenders.
