New law establishes the Friday of the Pecan Festival as a legal holiday in the parish of Grant
for purposes of authorizing the clerk of court for the 35th JDC to close offices in observance
of the holiday.
New law also provides an exception for purposes of an election which requires the office of
the clerk of court to remain open.
Effective August 1, 2016.
