Existing law provides for the issuance of concealed handgun permits and provides fees for
those permits.
Prior law provided that veterans of the U.S. armed forces pay one-half of the fees associated
with obtaining a concealed handgun permit.
New law changes prior law to exempt veterans of the U.S. armed forces from all fees
associated with concealed handgun permits.
Effective August 1, 2016.
