HOUSE BILL NO. 393

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
DOTD in the matter of "Denise Ebanks v. The State of Louisiana, Department of
Transportation and Development, et al."
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Denise Ebanks v.
4 The State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development, et al."; and
5 to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 ($75,000.00) Dollars is
8hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
92017 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Denise Ebanks v. The State
10of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development, et al.", bearing Number 2011-
118388 on the docket of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, state of Louisiana.
12 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
13and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
142016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
