HOUSE BILL NO. 396

CHILDREN/SUPPORT:  Provides relative to the membership of the child support review
committee
1	AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 9:315.16(B)(1), relative to the child support review committee; 
3 to provide with respect to its membership; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  R.S. 9:315.16(B)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
6 ยง315.16.  Review of guidelines
7	*          *          *
8	B.  The child support review committee shall serve without compensation,
9 except for the members of the legislature who shall receive a per diem as provided
10 by law, and shall consist of the following members:
11	(1)  The reporter or designee of the Louisiana State Law Institute Marriage
12 and Persons Advisory Committee.

Present law provides that one of the members of the child support review committee shall
be the reporter of the Louisiana State Law Institute Marriage and Persons Advisory
Committee. 
Proposed law retains present law but adds that a designee of the Louisiana State Law
Institute Marriage and Persons Advisory Committee may serve on the child support review
committee instead of the reporter.
