[R.S. 1:13(B) and 24:177(E)] HB 454 Original 2016 Regular Session Richard Abstract: Changes the criteria of professional, personal, and consulting service contracts that are required to be reported, reviewed, and approved by the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 through Fiscal Year 2017-2018. Present law for FY 15-16 through FY 17-18, establishes a process that all contracts for professional, personal, and consulting services totaling $40,000 or more per year which are funded solely with the state general fund (direct) or the Overcollections Fund and are for discretionary purposes are reported, reviewed, and approved by the JLCB. Proposed law reduces the amount of the contracts that are reported, reviewed, and approved by JLCB from contracts for professional, personal, and consulting services totaling $40,000 or more per year to contracts for professional, personal, and consulting services totaling $25,000 or more per year. Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Amends R.S. 39:1590(A)(intro. para.))
