ENROLLED ACT No. 408 2016 Regular Session HOUSE BILL NO. 454 BY REPRESENTATIVE RICHARD 1 AN ACT 2 To amend and reenact R.S. 39:1590(A)(introductory paragraph), relative to professional, 3 personal, consulting, and social services procurement; to provide for contracts 4 reported to and reviewed and approved by the Joint Legislative Committee on the 5 Budget; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related matters. 6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 7 Section 1. R.S. 39:1590(A)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and 8 reenacted to read as follows: 9 ยง1590. Approval of certain professional, personal, and consulting consulting, and 10 social services contracts for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 through Fiscal Year 11 2017-2018 12 A. In Fiscal Year 2015-2016 through 2017-2018, the commissioner of 13 administration, in consultation with the state chief procurement officer, shall report 14 each contract for professional, personal, and consulting consulting, and social 15 services with a total dollar amount of forty thousand dollars or more per year that is 16 funded solely with state general fund (direct) or the Overcollections Fund and is for 17 discretionary purposes to the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget for review 18 and approval prior to the effectiveness of the contract. 19 * * * Page 1 of 2 CODING: Words in struck through type are deletions from existing law; words underscored are additions. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not 2 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature 3 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If 4 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become 5 effective on the day following such approval.
