MEDICAID: Provides relative to reimbursements by Medicaid managed care organizations
for prescription drugs
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 46:460.37, relative to Medicaid managed care pharmacy reimbursements; to
3 provide for the base of reimbursement for prescription drugs; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 46:460.37 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง460.37. Base of reimbursement
8 The base of reimbursement for Bayou Health payments for prescription drugs
9 shall be not less than the Medicaid reimbursement unless the provider and Bayou
10 Health plan have a national agreement for other pricing schedules.

be at least equal to the Medicaid reimbursement.
Proposed law requires the base of reimbursement for Bayou Health payments for
prescription drugs to be not less than the Medicaid reimbursement unless the provider and
Bayou Health plan have a national agreement for other pricing schedules.
