Abstract: Increases from $75 to $100 the amount per election paid to deputy custodians of
parish voting machines.
Present law authorizes parish custodians of voting machines to appoint deputies to help him
with his duties. Places certain limitations on who may qualify to serve as a deputy and
ascribes certain duties to the position. Proposed law retains present law.
Present law provides that a deputy custodian of parish voting machines is to be paid $75 for
each election at which he serves. Proposed law increases this amount to $100 for each
election at which he serves.
