Abstract:  Increases from $75 to $100 the amount per election paid to deputy custodians of parish
voting machines.
Present law authorizes parish custodians of voting machines to appoint deputies to help them with
their duties.  Places certain limitations on who may qualify to serve as a deputy and  ascribes certain
duties to the position.  Proposed law retains present law.
Present law provides that a deputy custodian of parish voting machines is to be paid $75 for each
election at which he serves.  Proposed law increases this amount to $100 for each election at which
he serves.
