RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 629 (HB 556) 2016 Regular Session Moreno Existing law provides for a two-year prescriptive period to bring an action against a person for damages sustained from a crime of violence. New law extends the two-year prescriptive period to three years for a delictual action against a person for sexual assault and provides for the commencement of the prescriptive period.
