HB 568 Original	2016 Regular Session	Richard
Abstract: Requires a commercial driver's license to haul sugar cane on public roadways.
Present law authorizes the Dept. of Public Safety and Corrections to permit licensed drivers without
a commercial driver's license to operate farm vehicles not used in the operations of a common or
contract motor carrier within 150 miles of the farmer's farm.
Proposed law requires that operators of farm vehicles hauling sugar cane on the public roadways
possess a commercial driver's license.
