RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 438 (HB 602) 2016 Regular Session Shadoin Existing law requires the secretary of state to develop and administer a uniform statewide notarial exam and authorizes a fee not to exceed $75 for each examinee taking the examination. New law retains existing law and increases the maximum $75 fee to a fixed $100 fee. Existing law requires the secretary of state to publish and make available to the public a document containing the material and sources from which examination questions are devised and charge a fee for the actual cost not to exceed $100. New law retains existing law and changes the maximum $100 charge to a fixed $100 charge. Effective upon signature of governor (June 9, 2016). (Amends R.S. 35:191.1(B))
