HOUSE BILL NO. 622

PROPERTY/PUBLIC:  Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Caddo Parish
1	AN ACT
2To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Caddo Parish; to provide for the property description; to
4 provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to provide
5 an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other provision
8of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease,
9or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or any portion of
10the following described parcel of property to David Hearon and Angela Hearon:
11 A certain tract of State owned (nonsevered) land by Judgement dated November 14,
12 1921 identified as Campsite Lot No. 9, James Bayou Area, located in Section 26,
13 T21N, R16W, Louisiana Meridian and more fully shown on a plat(s) filed in the
14 State Land Office.
15 Section 2.  The commissioner of administration is hereby authorized to enter into
16such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as
17necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of
18title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and as more
19specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and
20between the commissioner of administration and David Hearon and Angela Hearon, in
21exchange of consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the property.
22 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
23signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature

1by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
2vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
3effective on the day following such approval.
