Abstract: Provides an exemption from the payment of tolls on the Tomey J. Doucet Bridge for a
World War II veteran.
Proposed law exempts a World War II veteran from the payment of tolls on the Tomey J. Doucet
Bridge when the veteran has purchased an exempt toll tag and presents a certificate of motor vehicle
registration, a copy of military records verifying service during World War II and any one of the
following as proof of residency:  (1) an official La. driver's license; (2) proof of homestead
exemption; and (3) a voter registration card.
Proposed law requires the Dept. of Transportation and Development to adopt rules and regulations
in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act to efficiently implement and enforce the
provisions of proposed law.
