AUCTIONS/AUCTIONEERS: Provides with respect to continuing education for
auctioneers
1 AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 37:3112(C)(6) and 3115(A)(5), relative to the continuing education of
3 auctioneers; to authorize the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board to adopt certain
4 standards and policies with respect to auctioneers' participation in certain continuing
5 education programs; to require a show of continuing education on license renewal
6 applications; and to provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 37:3112(C)(6) and 3115(A)(5) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 §3112. Powers, duties, authorities, and responsibilities; meeting, quorum

11 C. The board is authorized and may do the following:

13 (6) Prescribe and adopt regulations, standards, procedures, and policies,
14 pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act, governing the manner and conditions
15 for which credit shall be given to a licensed auctioneer by the board for participation
16 in a program of continuing education, as the board may consider necessary and
17 appropriate to maintain the highest standards of proficiency as an auctioneer in the
18 state of Louisiana.

3 (5) All applications for renewal shall show evidence of continuing education
4 as required by the board.
