ACT 92 (HB 70) 2016 Regular Session Terry Brown
New law establishes a mayor's court for the village of Creola and provides that the territorial
jurisdiction of the court shall extend throughout the village of Creola in Grant Parish.
New law further provides that the general law provisions applicable to mayors' courts (R.S.
33:441 and 442) also apply to the Mayor's Court of the Village of Creola, including the
provisions related to the jurisdiction of the court and the power and authority of the mayor
and other officers of the court.
Effective upon signature of governor (May 13, 2016).
