APPROPRIATIONS/TAX APPL: Appropriates funds for payment of the Louisiana Board
of Tax Appeals recommendation in the matter of "Comcast of Georgia/Virginia, Inc.
v. Jane Smith, Acting Secretary of the Dept. of Revenue and Taxation, State of
Louisiana"
1 AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-
3 2017 to be used to pay the recommendation for payment rendered by the Board of
4 Tax Appeals in favor of Comcast of Georgia/Virginia, Inc.; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. The sum of two million six hundred sixty-six thousand six hundred nine
8and No/100 ($2,666,609.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the
9state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to be used to pay the recommendation for
10payment rendered by the Board of Tax Appeals in the claim against the state entitled
11"Comcast of Georgia/Virginia, Inc. v. Jane Smith, Acting Secretary of the Department of
12Revenue and Taxation, State of Louisiana", bearing Number 7703 on the docket of the Board
13of Tax Appeals, state of Louisiana.
14 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2016; if vetoed by the governor
15and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
162016, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
