DISTRICTS/CRIME PREVENT:  Provides relative to the Broadmoor Crime Prevention and
Improvement District in East Baton Rouge Parish
1	AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 33:9097.8(B), relative to the Broadmoor Crime Prevention and
3 Improvement District in East Baton Rouge Parish; to modify the boundaries of the
4 district; and to provide for related matters.
5	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
6	as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
7	Louisiana.
8Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
9 Section 1.  R.S. 33:9097.8(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
10 ยง9097.8.  Broadmoor Crime Prevention and Improvement District

12	B.  Boundaries.  The boundaries of the district shall include all the property
13 within, and no property outside of, the following subdivisions in East Baton Rouge
14 Parish as established by the official subdivision plats thereof filed with the clerk of
15 court of East Baton Rouge Parish:  Broadmoor, East Broadmoor, North Broadmoor
16 Circle, Broadmoor Oaks, Broadmoor Place, Broadmoor Terrace, Oak Hill, South
17 Broadmoor, Clarice Browning Arnold Tract, North Broadmoor, and Broadmoor
18 Estates.  In addition, the district shall include lots B-4-1, B-4-2, and B-4-3 and Lot
19 M of the Edmund R. Sharp Property as shown by the official records of the  clerk of
20 court of East Baton Rouge Parish.

1 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
2signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
3by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
4vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
5effective on the day following such approval.

Abstract: Changes the boundaries of the Broadmoor Crime Prevention and Improvement
District in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Present law creates the Broadmoor Crime Prevention and Improvement District in East
Baton Rouge Parish for the purpose of aiding in crime prevention and adding to the security
of district residents by providing for an increase in the presence of law enforcement
personnel in the district.  Provides that the district is governed by a seven-member board of
commissioners and provides for district boundaries.
Proposed law retains present law but makes changes to the district's boundaries.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
