HB 855 Reengrossed 2016 Regular Session Huval
Abstract: Authorizes operation of golf carts on roadways within Lake Fausse Point State Park.
Proposed law provides that golf carts may operate between sunrise and sunset on the roadways
within the limits of Lake Fausse Point State Park by any operator who is in possession of a valid
driver's license and liability insurance. Defines "golf cart" as an electric vehicle that was originally
intended for use off-road on golf courses and other green spaces and that has a maximum speed of
25 miles per hour.
Proposed law excepts the provisions of proposed law from certain requirements regarding operation
of vehicles on roadways contained in present law.
