RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 150 (HB 894) 2016 Regular Session Thibaut Existing law provides for an Offender Reentry Support Pilot Program, created and established within the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office. Existing law provides that within 24 months of implementation of the program, the sheriff shall submit to the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice and the Senate Committee on Judiciary C a comprehensive report regarding the implementation of the pilot program, funding obtained for its implementation, the progress of offenders and ex-offenders under the program, and a recommendation for continuation, expansion, or termination of the program. New law requires an additional report to be submitted prior to the 2018 Regular Session and after as required by the committees in existing law. Effective August 1, 2016. (Amends R.S. 15.745.2(D))
