Abstract: Establishes the Mayor's Court of the Village of Elizabeth in Allen Parish.
Proposed law creates a mayor's court for the village of Elizabeth and provides that the territorial
jurisdiction of the court shall extend throughout the village of Elizabeth in Allen Parish.
Proposed law provides that general law applicable to mayors' courts also applies to the Mayor's Court
of the Village of Elizabeth, including the subject matter jurisdiction (violations of municipal
ordinances) and the power and authority of the mayor and other officers of the court.
