BY REPRESENTATIVE CARPENTER AND SENATOR B ARROW
CHILDREN/ABUSE:  Adds to the membership of the Child Protection Representation
Commission
1	AN ACT
2To enact Children's Code Article 581(A)(9), relative to the Child Protection Representation
3 Commission; to provide for the membership of the commission; to add the
4 chairwoman of the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus or her designee as a
5 commission member; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  Children's Code Article 581(A)(9) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 
8 Art. 581.  Child Protection Representation Commission; establishment; purpose and
9	functions
10	A.  The Child Protection Representation Commission, referred to hereinafter
11 as the "commission", is hereby established for the purpose of reviewing the system
12 of representation of children and indigent parents in child protection cases as
13 provided in Chapters 5 and 6 of this Title.  The commission shall be composed of the
14 following members:

Abstract: Adds a member to the Child Protection Representation Commission.
Present law creates and provides for the membership of Child Protection Representation
Commission.  Provides that the purpose of the commission is to review the system of
representation of children and indigent parents in child protection cases as provided in
present law (Ch. 5 and 6 of Title V of the La. Children's Code).
Proposed law retains present law and adds the chairwoman of the La. Legislative Women's
Caucus or her designee as a commission member.
