INSURERS/AGENTS: Provides relative to the sale of policies issued by the Louisiana
Citizens Property Insurance Corporation
1 AN ACT
2To amend and reenact R.S. 22:2313(A), relative to the sale of policies issued by Louisiana
3 Citizens Property and Casualty Insurance Corporation through its FAIR and Coastal
4 Plans; to limit the sale of such policies to resident licensed producers; and to provide
5 for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 22:2313(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง2313. Producers; authority to bind coverage
9 A. Every producer resident in this state and licensed to sell property and
10 casualty insurance may sell insurance policies which that are issued by the Louisiana
11 Citizens Property Insurance Corporation through its FAIR and Coastal Plans.

13 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
14signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
15by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If
16vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
17effective on the day following such approval.

Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
