Requests the secretary of state to continue to maintain a toll-free number to allow members of the
public to submit comments, concerns, and questions relative to elections; to immediately send to the
appropriate registrar a detailed summary of any such comment, concern, or question; and to track
calls to ensure that they are addressed appropriately and to urge and request each registrar of voters
to prominently post the toll-free number at his office.
Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on House and Governmental
Affairs to the original resolution:
1. Request the secretary of state to continue to maintain a toll-free number instead of
directing the secretary of state to establish it.
2. Request the secretary of state to immediately send to the appropriate registrar a detailed
summary of each call.
3. Request each registrar to prominently post the toll-free number at his office.
