Urges and requests that the Dept. of Transportation and Development study the feasibility and
practicality of placing a directional traffic control signal in the north bound lane on Essen Lane near
the LSU Rural Life Museum.
Provides that the Dept. of Transportation and Development complete a study, which should consider
traffic patterns, traffic volume, traffic speed, road features including curves and visibility, and
whether lesser forms of traffic control would be effective.
Provides that the Dept. of Transportation and Development report, in writing, whether placing a
directional traffic signal control in the north bound lane on Essen Lane near the LSU Rural Life
Museum is feasible.
Provides that the Dept. of Transportation and Development report their findings to the Senate and
House committees on transportation, highways and public works and to the representative who
represents District 70 on or before Oct. 1, 2016.
