COMMENDATIONS: Commends Circle T Cattle Company and the Thibodeaux family for
owning and exhibiting CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9, the number one Brahman cow
in the state
1 A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION
2To commend Circle T Cattle Company and the Thibodeaux family for owning and
3 exhibiting CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9, the number one Brahman cow in the state of
4 Louisiana and the number one cow in the American Brahman Breeders Association
5 Register of Renown for the Brahman breed of the United States.
6 WHEREAS, Circle T Cattle Company and the Thibodeaux family are from Church
7Point, and they are the proud owners and exhibitors of CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9, the
8number one Brahman cow in the state and the number one cow in the American Brahman
9Breeders Association Register of Renown for the Brahman breed of the United States ; and
10 WHEREAS, the Register of Renown program was established to recognize the sires
11and dams of show ring winners at American Brahman Breeders Association (ABBA)
12approved shows; a cow must gain a minimum of seventy-five points earned by two or more
13of her produce to obtain the status of Register of Renown; and
14 WHEREAS, in 1924, ABBA was founded as the official breed registry of American
15Brahman cattle in the United States; through the years, the association has grown to provide
16an array of member services, educational opportunities, and programs; and
17 WHEREAS, CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9's daughters captured the title of grand and
18reserve champion cow at the 2016 International Houston Livestock Show, the LSU Winter
19and 4-H Show, and at the Dixie Nationals Livestock Show; and

1 WHEREAS, the CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9 progeny also won grand and reserve
2champion female, reserve grand champion red Brahman bull, and grand champion embryo
3producer at the International Houston Livestock Show; and
4 WHEREAS, Circle T Cattle Company and the Thibodeaux family deserve honor and
5recognition for owning and exhibiting CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9.
6 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
7commend Circle T Cattle Company and the Thibodeaux family for owning and exhibiting
8CT Lady Rhineaux Ray 8/9, the number one Brahman cow in the state of Louisiana and the
9number one cow in the ABBA Register of Renown for the Brahman breed of the United
10States.
11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
12to Daniel Lyons and the Thibodeaux family.
