COMMENDATIONS: Commends Freddy Yoder for his years of service as president of the
Lakeview Crime Prevention District
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend Freddy Yoder for his years of service as president of the Lakeview Crime
3 Prevention District.
4 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a sincere measure of appreciation be expressed to
5Freddy Yoder for his many years of committed service, dedication, and remarkable
6contributions to the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in Orleans Parish; and
7 WHEREAS, the Lakeview Crime Prevention District was the first security district
8of its kind implemented in the state of Louisiana; the district provides supplemental police
9protection for the Lakeview area of New Orleans, which consists of more than seven
10thousand households; and
11 WHEREAS, since the district's implementation in 1998, crime in the Lakeview area
12has been drastically reduced; and
13 WHEREAS, Mr. Yoder has served on the board of commissioners for the district
14since its inception, and he has served as president for eleven years; and
15 WHEREAS, recently, he resigned as president to spend more time with his family,
16but he will continue to serve the district as a member of the board; and
17 WHEREAS, Mr. Yoder has been an exemplary leader for the Lakeview Crime
18Prevention District, and he is committed to ensuring that the district remains strong and
19successful; and

1 WHEREAS, Freddy Yoder merits a special measure of commendation for his
2outstanding accomplishments as president of the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in
3Orleans Parish.
4 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
5Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Freddy Yoder for his many years of service
6as president of the Lakeview Crime Prevention District in Orleans Parish; does hereby
7recognize and record for posterity his unwavering dedication and his singular contributions
8to the district; does hereby express enduring appreciation to him for his leadership in
9improving his community; and does hereby extend to him every good wish for success and
10happiness in all of his future endeavors.
11 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
12to Freddy Yoder.
