COMMENDATIONS: Commends the employees of the Louisiana House of
Representatives for their public service and recognizes Wednesday, May 4, 2016, as
State Employee Recognition Day at the state capitol
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the employees of the Louisiana House of Representatives for their public
3 service and to recognize Wednesday, May 4, 2016, as State Employee Recognition
4 Day at the state capitol.
5 WHEREAS, the employees of the Louisiana House of Representatives are dedicated
6to providing the House and its members with the highest quality legislative support services
7in a professional, nonpartisan manner, and to assisting the legislature so that it functions as
8a coequal branch of government; and
9 WHEREAS, the employees of the House of Representatives perform their duties with
10dedication and genuine care; and
11 WHEREAS, the employees of the House of Representatives serve individual
12legislators through comprehensive research, bill drafting, fiscal analysis, and also provide
13administrative, constituent, and security support, and in so doing help to ensure the smooth
14functioning of the legislative process; and
15 WHEREAS, the House of Representatives is indebted to the men and women of the
16House staff who devote themselves to public service and who serve the public with the
17highest degree of professionalism, proficiency, and integrity; and
18 WHEREAS, Public Service Recognition Week is sponsored by the Public Employees
19Roundtable and its member organizations to honor the men and women who serve our nation

1as federal, state, county, and local government employees, and has been celebrated during
2the first week of May since 1985; and
3 WHEREAS, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, has been designated as State Employee
4Recognition Day.
5 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
6Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the employees of the House of
7Representatives for their outstanding public service benefitting both the House of
8Representatives and the citizens of Louisiana, and hereby recognizes Wednesday, May 4,
92016, as State Employee Recognition Day at the state capitol.
