HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 158

COMMENDATIONS:  Commends Caleb King upon being named an Outstanding Young
Citizen by the Crowley Chamber of Commerce
1	A RESOLUTION
2 To commend Caleb King upon being named an Outstanding Young Citizen by the Crowley
3 Chamber of Commerce.
4 WHEREAS, Caleb King is the son of Steven and Anne King; he is a senior at
5 Northside Christian School, where he maintains a 3.93 GPA; he placed second in the fine
6 arts survey and third in geometry at the District Literary Rally; he also received the Coaches
7 Award for varsity basketball; and
8 WHEREAS, Caleb was chosen as Mr. Northside Christian for 2016, and he received
9 the National Beta Club leadership scholarship; and
10 WHEREAS, he has played basketball for four years and baseball for three years; and
11 WHEREAS, he has served as vice president for Beta Club, senior class
12 representative, and he was a member of the school chapel worship team; and
13 WHEREAS, Caleb plans to attend a discipleship school for five months before
14 attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017 to pursue a career in physical
15 therapy; and
16 WHEREAS, Caleb King is an exemplary young citizen, and it is appropriate to
17 commend him on his prestigious accomplishments as the Crowley Chamber of Commerce
18 celebrates him as an Outstanding Young Citizen.
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20 Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Caleb King upon being named an
21 Outstanding Young Citizen by the Crowley Chamber of Commerce and does hereby extend

1 to him enduring appreciation for the tremendous pride and honor that he brings to his family
2 and friends, school and community, and the state of Louisiana.
3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
4 to Caleb King.
