HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 31

COMMENDATIONS:  Commends Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere upon the celebration of
her ninety-ninth birthday
1	A RESOLUTION
2To commend Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere upon the celebration of her ninety-ninth
3 birthday.
4 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend and congratulate Mrs. Mae Montecino
5Mollere upon the historic occasion of the celebration of her ninety-ninth birthday; and
6 WHEREAS, Mrs. Mollere was born on March 28, 1917, to Henry and Rosa
7Montecino; and
8 WHEREAS, in 1935, she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge; and
9 WHEREAS, in 1936, she married the late Frank J. Mollere; she is the devoted mother
10of Frances, Brenda (and her fiancee, Ronnie Marroy), Karen, and Kim, and she is the
11"adopted" mother of Barbara Baughman; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Mollere is a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic
13Church; and
14 WHEREAS, for many years, she was a season ticket holder for the Louisiana State
15University men's basketball team; and
16 WHEREAS, Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere merits a special measure of
17commendation for the tremendous pride and honor that she brings to her community, the
18state of Louisiana, and to all who know and love her.
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere upon the
21celebration of her ninety-ninth birthday on March 28, 2016; does hereby recognize and

1record for posterity the extraordinary life she has lived in the ninety-nine years since her
2birth; and does hereby extend to her best wishes for continued happiness in the years to
3come.
4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
5to Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere.
