HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 31

A RESOLUTION
To commend Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere upon the celebration of her ninety-ninth
birthday.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend and congratulate Mrs. Mae Montecino
Mollere upon the historic occasion of the celebration of her ninety-ninth birthday; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mollere was born on March 28, 1917, to Henry and Rosa
Montecino; and
WHEREAS, in 1935, she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge; and
WHEREAS, in 1936, she married the late Frank J. Mollere; she is the devoted mother
of Frances, Brenda (and her fiancee, Ronnie Marroy), Karen, and Kim, and she is the
"adopted" mother of Barbara Baughman; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mollere is a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic
Church; and
WHEREAS, for many years, she was a season ticket holder for the Louisiana State
University men's basketball team; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere merits a special measure of
commendation for the tremendous pride and honor that she brings to her community, the
state of Louisiana, and to all who know and love her.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Mrs. Mae Montecino Mollere upon the
celebration of her ninety-ninth birthday on March 28, 2016; does hereby recognize and
record for posterity the extraordinary life she has lived in the ninety-nine years since her
birth; and does hereby extend to her best wishes for continued happiness in the years to
come.
