HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 48

COMMENDATIONS:  Commends the Lutcher High School football team upon winning the
2015 3A state championship
1	A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Lutcher High School football team upon winning the 2015 Class 3A state
3 championship.
4 WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend the Lutcher High School football team
5upon winning the 2015 Class 3A football state championship; and
6 WHEREAS, the Bulldogs of the Lutcher High School football team have completed
7a sensational season, earning the title of 2015 Class 3A state champions after defeating their
8district rivals, the St. James High School Wildcats, by a score of forty-one to fourteen at the
9exciting championship game on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Mercedes-Benz
10Superdome in New Orleans; and 
11 WHEREAS, this thrilling victory marked the Bulldogs' seventh Class 3A state
12football championship, its first since 2008, and the culmination of a truly unforgettable
13season; and
14 WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence
15throughout the 2015 season and playoffs, and each of these talented Bulldogs deserves
16recognition for his vital contributions to the winning effort: Trevor Comardelle, Al'dontre
17Davis, Anthony Brown, Destin Porter, Tharrin Maddie, Jr., Dontell Johnson, Tylon Scott,
18Cameron Amato, Zane McCrary, Jacoby Williams, Jontre Kirklin (named the title game's
19Most Valuable Player), Dylan Recotta, Samuel Piazza, Sloan Brignac, Markwon Williams,
20Deante Kennard, Paul Joseph, Cowen Wiggins, Rashaun Preston, Kendrick Jackson, Daevon
21Adams, Thaddeus Watis, Courtney Davis, Christopher Burkhalter, Keiron Goudia, Devin

9 WHEREAS, the team's amazing feats could not have been achieved without the
10unwavering dedication and inspiring guidance of longtime head coach, Tim Detillier, and
11others on the coaching staff, Cory Bourgeois, Kim LaCombe, Craig Zeringue, Troy Johnson,
12Troy Borne, Mickey St. Pierre, Chad Carter, Brad Smith, Thomas Bourgeois, Davey
13Clement, Scott Giardina, Robbie Ocmand, Kyle Latiolais, Terrance Jones, Dave Giardina,
14and Matt Dornier, as well as the passion of the many Bulldog supporters who contribute to
15the success of the school's football program; and
16 WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2015 season upholds the glorious tradition of the
17Bulldogs, and all alumni and fans recognize the tremendous honor, pride, and joy that the
18team brings to Lutcher High School, St. James Parish, and the state of Louisiana. 
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
20Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Lutcher High School football team upon
21winning the 2015 Class 3A state championship; hereby record for posterity this exceptional
22team's triumph in the great sport of football; and hereby extend best wishes to the players,
23coaches, and everyone involved with this fine football program as they celebrate their
24championship season and prepare for continued success in the future.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
26to Head Coach Tim Detillier.
