HLS 16RS-1304 ORIGINAL 2016 Regular Session HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 8 BY REPRESENTATIVE BAGLEY COMMENDATIONS: Commends Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team upon being the state runner up in the Class C state championship 1 A RESOLUTION 2To commend the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team upon being the state 3 runner up in the Class C state championship. 4 WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team completed a 5sensational 2015-2016 season on Friday, March 4, 2016, in the Class C state championship 6game against Summerfield High School; and 7 WHEREAS, although Pleasant Hill High School fell short against Summerfield High 8School in the championship game, the remarkable talents and determination of the players 9merit recognition and celebration; and 10 WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest levels of excellence, 11and each Eagle deserves recognition for her vital contributions throughout the season; and 12 WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill High School girls' basketball team finished the season 13with 28 wins and 12 losses; and 14 WHEREAS, the basketball team's outstanding season upholds the glorious tradition 15of Pleasant Hill High School, and all alumni and fans recognize the immense pride and 16distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state. 17 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the 18Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Pleasant Hill High School girls' 19basketball team upon being the state runner up in the Class C state championship game and 20does hereby extend best wishes to the players, coaches, and everyone involved with this fine 21basketball program as they prepare for continued success in the future.
