Present law provides for a short-form birth certificate and fee for such certificate.
Proposed law retains present law and provides that a short-form birth certificate card may only be
purchased by an individual who also purchases a long-form birth certificate in the same transaction.
Effective upon signature of the governor or upon lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
