SB 222 Reengrossed 2016 Regular Session	Claitor
Present law provides for the public records law and exceptions to the law.
Proposed law adds an exception for any records, writings, accounts, letters, exhibits, pictures,
drawings, charts, photographs, or copies of memoranda thereof, in any reports of examinations or
evaluations or any other information in the custody of the Louisiana State Licensing Board of
Contractors concerning the fitness or any person or entity to receive, or continue to hold, a
contractor's license. 
Proposed law also provides that once a final determination has been made concerning the fitness of
the contractor, the resources used to make the determination will become public record. 
Proposed law prohibits the disclosure of the examinations administered by the board and the
answers.
Effective August 1, 2016.
