Present law provides for the establishment of the Mansfield Female College Museum in the town
of Mansfield, in the parish of DeSoto, under the jurisdiction of the Department of State.
Proposed law transfers the jurisdiction of the museum from the Department of State to the
Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
(Amends R.S. 25:380.91, 380.92, 380.93(B)(5), 380.94, and 380.95(A) and R.S. 36:801.16; adds
R.S. 36:209(B)(4); repeals R.S. 36:744(W))
